Hi Howard, I was TDY to a Rand facility in Santa Monica in 1955. We were testing and developing the Systems Training Program scenarios. See my write-up under Tech Training, Tyndall AFB, Weapons Controller School, Other Tech Training Links, Systems Training Program/STP.

As requested by Howard Phillips via e-mail, we have added a Site entry for "Rand, Santa Monica, CA." If you were ever assigned there to work on SAGE programming for the Air Force, please sign the Site Roster. We pegged the current Rand Corporation building; if the SAGE programming project took place in a different building, please let us know. Finally, please send us your first-hand anecdotes and/or photos if you have any. Thank you.

My father, Franklin Henry Householder, was a member of the 637th AC & W Squadron (in the Civil Service?) and worked at the Keye Radar Base as a plant electrician at Hanford Atomic Base during the years of 1951-1954, or part thereof. We cannot find any written documentation/proof that he worked at Hanford Atomic Site, since shortly after his death in 2006, his important papers, receipts, etc. were gone through (too quickly) and thrown away. If anyone has any thoughts on how we can obtain this vital information, please contact me at the above email, or call me at (530)356-7317. Thank you. Sincerely, Cynthia Harris.
