i was stationed at Campion radar site in 1960-1961. Hated it. Got screwed out of a promotion so i kissed the USAF good bye.

Thank you for creating this site. I'm just looking for information about my cousin Harry Jacobsen, who was in the U.S. Air Force and, at some time, stationed in Greenland, I believe. Harry died in 1995.

Repeat of a small puzzle: A while back a friend and member asked, "Why are all the radar sites' base housing units in a multiple of ( (9, 18,27, etc.)? OK, two questions, first are they ALL in multiples of 9? Second what's the reason or rationale?

A fellow 786th AC&W/RADS veteran, and Past Commander of my American Legion Post 283 here in Ohio passed away from COVID. Jim was at the 786th near the end of its operation in the late 70s. RIP Jim.

Sherwood Benton Jr. (Jo-Jo) was a 1Lt assigned to Bellefontaine AFS in the mid 1950's. He later became a dentist in Tucson, AZ. He passed away on December 20, 2020 in Mansfield, OH.
