Is there anyone who was at Lackland and in 3707 Sqn. Flight 1236 (End of 1957)that has a group picture of that flight? I was looking through the BMT photos from Lackland and that one seems to be missing, unforunately I don't have any photos of that era and would like to get a copy.

I'm working on an updated & corrected history of Air Force's Spacetrack and Space Surveillance Network (SSN). There are some early SSN sensors for which I have very little information. I'd like to talk to people who may have good photos, documentation or recollections of working with these sensors, their operation or their development. They include:
a) The Moorestown NJ FPS-49, circa 1960-1975
b) The Shemya FPS-17 and FPS-80, circa 1960-77
c) The Laredo, Texas radar site, especially FPS-17 or the 60-foot tracker (FPS-78?), circa 1956-64
d) The Trinidad island radars, FPS-43 or FPS-44 (often called FPS-50 & FPS-49 on the Web), circa 1957-71
e) The Turkey FPS-17, circa 1955-97, especially the period before the Cinerama upgrade
f) The GPS-10, in Thailand circa 1971-76, and at San Miguel circa 1982-89.
I have already searched the internet pretty thoroughly with Google-type searches.
Thanks

I'm a proud veteran of the 634th Radar Squadron, Burns, Oregon. Enlisted into USAF in 1964 and was stationed at Burns from 1965 to 1968 (my enlistment terminated there; spent the first year in basic and radar training at Keesler AFB). Best four years of my life. Got to meet and remain in contact with some GREAT people, met and married my wife of 44 years while stationed at Burns, and now live in Bend, OR visiting Burns occasionally (originally a Jersey guy). I enlisted into the Air Force to be able to fly in planes; only saw an AF jet up close and personal once during my tour, that was when a jet flew over our radar site at an Armed Forces event. Still, I enjoyed my tour and those four years.
