  Z-209   671 Key West NAS (Manual), FL AN/FPS-37 (Navy); AN/FPS-6A, AN/MPS-11 (Air Force) AN/FPS-37 (Navy); AN/FPS-6A (Air Force) 1962 1964 U.S. Navy radar site, established sometime in the early 1960s, located at the Naval Air Station on Boca Chica Key; radar site was located south-southeast of the runways. ADC (U.S. Air Force) added a height-finder radar during the Cuban Missile Crisis. An AN/MPS-11 mobile search radar was used while the AN/FPS-37 was undergoing repairs for corrosion. Prior to the 671st Radar Squadron being established, the attending unit was Detachment 2, MOADS. This radar site was replaced by a permanent site north of the runways. See ''Key West NAS, FL.''
