Recent Photos of Key West NAS (Manual), FL 

The following aerial images (all courtesy of Google Maps) show the first radar station at Key West NAS where the Navy's AN/FPS-37 search radar operated.  This radar site was located south-southeast of the runways.  The Air Force (ADC) jointly used the Navy's radar facility between 1962 (Cuban Missile Crisis) and 1964, and added their own AN/FPS-6A height-finder radar, while the permanent joint-use radar station north of the runways was under construction.
