M-125 Z-125 *   653 England AFB, LA MPS-14; TPS-1D; TPS-10D; MPS-7; FPS-20 FPS-20A; CARSR w/ FPS 1561 antenna [FAA]. Nov-55 30-Jun-63 Shared with the Army for control of the Nike missiles around Barksdale AFB near Shreveport, LA. Plans for an AN/FPS-24 or -35 FD search radar were cancelled. FAA site now, was using FPS-20A. FAA site also known as Alexandria, LA. Now operates Common Air-Route Surveillance Radar (CARSR) radar as of 4/5/2012. * Deactivation was initially held in abeyance in FY 1964 for the FAA’s proposed National Airspace Utilization System (NAUS), and SAGE designation of Z-125 was assigned.
M-125A       Delhi, LA FPS-18   Jun-60 Dec-60 Gap-Filler Annex.
M-125B / M-91B       Heflin, LA **         ** Gap-Filler Annex. In original ADC plans, but never was built.
M-125D       Lake Charles GFA, LA FPS-18   Dec-61 Jun-63 Gap-Filler Annex, located at the former LRR site, TM-194, using the former Radio Bldg.; AFS reopened later as LRR site, Z-248.
TM-194A / M-125C       Weeks Island, LA FPS-14   Feb-60 Jun-63 Gap-Filler Annex. Building is still extant. GFA radar site located on top of Weeks Island salt dome. When Lake Charles AFS, LA (TM-194) closed in 1961, this GFA came under the control of England AFB, LA (M-125).

Current Use: Still active. This now-FAA long-range radar site is now data-tied into the Joint Surveillance System (post 9/11).
