M-111     908 Dobbins AFB, Marietta, GA MPS-11, FPS-8; TPS-10; FPS-6 + 1956 1961 + + First called Atlanta (SM-166), this AC&W radar station was later relocated about a mile to the west, where an FAA ARSR-1A search radar had been installed in 1959. Earlier planned locations for the M-111 radar site had included Camp Williams, WI; then Pembina, ND; and then Hallock, MN. Radar site SM-166 was first sited at Oglethorpe, GA, before being moved to Atlanta and being redesignated as M-111.
M-111B Z-111B     Barnesville, GA FPS-18   May-58 Jun-62 Gap-Filler Annex. (One source lists site # as M-111C.)
M-111C       Piedmont, AL ** (FPS-18 planned)       Gap-Filler Annex. ** In early ADC plans, but never was built.

M-111E Z-111E     Elberton, GA FPS-18   Dec-59 Jun-62 Gap-Filler Annex. Location verified by site visit. Building still extant; altered.
P-42A / M-111F       Aquone, NC         Gap-Filler Annex. Never operational, reportedly.
P-42C / M-111G       Melvin Hill, NC FPS-18   ** ** Gap-Filler Annex. ** Reportedly, was briefly operational; however, ADC listed no dates. Located alongside SR 1353, Radar Road. Became an annex of Marietta AFS (M-111) in 1961; was declared excess in 1962.

Current Use: Commercial shopping center.
