The radar site was slated to have an AN/FPS-35 search radar installed, but the installation never took place (probably due to pending site deactivation in 1965). The GATR Site (R-25) stayed in operation after the 654th Radar Squadron itself ceased radar operations. The radio & TDDL cease-operations date is unknown, but apparently was sometime in or after late 1970.
