M-88 Z-88   688 Amarillo AFB, TX MPS-7; TPS-10D; FPS-20A; FPS-6A FPS-67B; FPS-6A late 1954 08-Sep-68 Located at northeast corner of the base. Plans for an AN/FPS-27 FD search radar were cancelled. The FAA still operates the AN/FPS-67B (now CARSR) search radar.

Current Use: Active FAA site. Amarillo AFB itself is now closed, and is a commercial airport. This now-FAA long-range radar site is now data-tied into the Joint Surveillance System (post 9/11).
