(If You’re Gonna Play In Texas Tour ’89 – 15 Apr 89) – Three Atlas D “Coffin”-type launchers are located in the north-central portion of the base, near the Orcutt Gate. Further up the road from the coffins are two BOMARC shelters. Early BOMARC deployment plans included a complete squadron at BOMARC (NOTE: that site was off-base and is now a trailer park). The shelters are used for storage.
