In January 1999, our unit from ROSLYN, the 213th Engineering Installation Squadron, was tasked to redo some of the transmitting and receiving equipment at a GATR site at Plattsburgh AFB, NY.

After we did the work, we took some pictures of it. I was on that trip as well, but like with everyone else, at the time, I wasn`t aware of its historical significance to the overall Air Defense mission. But I took the pictures, and stored them away in my archives. Last night, I was looking for some other pictures, where I came across the digital pictures taken of the site. I remember from your webs site, that you are always looking for new stuff from some of these sites and werent aware of their location. I think that these pictures actually show ALL the equipment that is still used in 1999!
