The FAA`s AN/FPS-67B, looking south.

The adjacent operations building for the radar site, now occupied by the 38th EIG. Along with the FPS-6 (no longer extant) and supporting structures, this small complex constituted site P-52/Z-52).

Generic barracks shots. All of the structures on the installation are intact, in good condition and in use.

Front of the former manual direction center, looking east. The 654th Combat Logistics Support Squadron occupies the structure.

The south wall of the DC. While modified somewhat, the building`s still recognizable.

This large structure at the north end of the complex, near the main gate was once the BOQ.

I primarily went to this site to try and get a few photos of the old Air-Defense Sector Manual AC&W Operations Center (site P-86) that was collocated with the radar station (site Z-52). However, the facility is still active (Air Force and FAA), now an annex of Tinker AFB, and I was not allowed onto the site. I settled for making a few pix from outside the fence. One thing that was quite interesting was that a rather large tornado had just passed through about two hours earlier. The tornado ripped through the east side of Tinker AFB and the northwest corner of OKC AFS, causing moderate to severe damage. (We had been watching a huge cumulo-nimbus anvil cloud ahead of us as we traveled south on I-35 approaching OKC; no doubt, that was the tornado-producing cloud -- it was truly awesome ... but we did not see the funnel itself). About the only damage to the old OKC AFS radar station itself was several breeches in the chain-link fence near the northwest corner. Tinker AFB was not so lucky; it had several buildings damaged. There was debris everywhere.

This photo shows the old GATR site for the 746th Radar Squadron. This former GATR facility is situated in the northwest corner of the old Air Force Station. (The leaves and debris up against the fence were from the recent tornado.) [looking southwest]

This final photo shows the tornado damage to the gate area of Tinker AFB at the intersection of S. Douglas Blvd. and SE 59th Street, just west of the old radar station. Notice the missing gate-shack roof, downed trees, and missing traffic lights. [looking south-southeast]
