Fall 2003 photos & notes contributed by Mark Foster
I visited Chatham ESS site today. It is exactly where indicated on the Radomes Web site.
The site appears almost totally removed. The only indications are telephone pole half way up hill, entrance road (good condition), pieces of front gate, some misc wire in the sand and it appears the tower foundations were uprooted and left on site upside down. One small foundation pad still remains.
I was unable to find any residents in the area that could comment on the site.
The phone pole half-way up the hill.
The remains of the foundation.
A remnant of GFA cabling.
One remaining tower pad lies buried.
