Site Location

Just North of Highway 178, 3 miles SW of Jim Falls, 5 miles NE of Chippewa Falls and 7 miles SE of Bloomer, WI

Site History and Findings of Fact

Constructed by the Air Force in 1958 and operated as unmanned radar station until excessed to GSA in January 1969 and quitclaimed to Chippewa County in May 1970, at which time the County began using it as a radio communications relay.

The property consists of 0.41 acres, and Chippewa County currently uses the site as a radio communications facility, which includes a concrete block building, a security fence, and a Navaid tower approximately 70 feet high.
