I`m already a member here, but never left a note--correcting that now. Hello to anyone I served with at Mt. Hebo AFS, OR (1960-1962), Adair AFS, OR (1962-1964), or Cartwright AS, Labrador (1964-1965). Other assignments not covered here but radar-related were Vandenburg AFB, CA/Johnston Atoll (1965-1967), and Shaw AFB, SC (1971-1975). I`m planning to attend the Mt. Hebo reunion this year, so maybe I`ll see some of you. David E. Casteel, Capt, USAF (ret)

Ref. FPS-35 sail@Montauk: How about cut it up into managable pieces and have those neat guys who restore ships and aircraft replicate the antenna in good, but light steel, then spray `em with Rhino pu trk bedliner or the plastic which cities are using on metal park benches? Also, how about a wind-turbine which charges up batteries at night? The batteries cud then power the rotate motor during the day--when visitors in- sert a few quarters to see it go! The rehabed or replaced sections cud be bolted together onsite when restored/ rebuilt--then the bolts `gooped` to pro tect them from corroding also! Ciao...

My twin brother, Frederick, and I were on the DEW line 1961-1962. Because the Air Force was in the process of deactivating the DEW line, we were on three sites that tour. Baffin Island, Canada, Resolution Island, Canada and finally Stevensville, Newfoundland, Canada. I`d love to hear from someone I knew there back then. Regards.

One of our Texas Tower No. 4 research divers recovered a 10-line phone several years ago. We`d like to try to `restore` it to display condition. However, we need to see an operator`s manual for one. Does anybody have a manual or T.O. for a TA-277/GTA-6 Telephone Circuit, Operator`s?
