Great Site, it brings back a lot of memories, long forgotten. Served with the 710th AC&W Squadron, Tin City Alaska from Sept. 58 to Sept 59. Had the privilege of serving with great officers & NCOs. Regarding call signs ours was Dragnet. Others I recall were Lambert (NE Cape), Romance (Cape Lisburne), Levi (Galena), Skidoo (Ladd), Windmill (Unikleet). I also recall the call sign of Drum Stick for the Navy P2Vs that used to fly ice patrols up through the Bering Straights. We had great fun keeping the Migs out of Ulen off their backs. Those Navy pilots earned their money. Also served with the 635th AC&W at McCord in Tocoma Washington & the 3208th Test Group, Eglin AFB. I would love to hear from anyone who served at these Sites during the late 50s. Does anyone know the where abouts of a great old friend, Nick Bradshaw who was stationed at Cape Lisboune Sept 58 - Sept 59. Gene and Tom keep up the good work, you dont have any idea how much it means to all us old veterans. Thanks for everything.

Basic in Lackland; AC&W techschool in good ol Biloxi, MS; and SAGE @Dickie-Goober, KC,Mo. Great site and keeps in limelight those of us who dedicated many lonely and cold nights staying vigilant of the skies for our families to peacefully sleep. The internet and sites like this have been a boon to those of us looking for lost and/or forgotten friends/acquaintances with whom we served. I welcome any communication with anyone I served with or anyone who served at the same bases as I. Looking for pictures and/or writings of these duty stations.
