Just to the left out of the picture is an identical rack as that on the far
right. These are the receivers and anti-jam circuits. One set of racks is
for the FPS-90, and the other (on the right) is for the FPS-6. The little
boxes on top of the black racks are radar blankers. These were set to keep
the radar from radiating the people in the search tower, as the Height Finder
was swung through their azimuth. These often failed however, as one of the
FAA guys had a hearing aid, and it caused him great pain when the RF blasted
through.
