Image Orientation
In many "TerraServer" aerial photos, the given image was made from a high-altitude aircraft passing north
of the area photographed, and thus the view is actually looking south. Consequently, if you save
the image as a 'jpg' file, and rotate it 180 degrees (using 'PhotoEditor' software, or similar), the image
will appear much more normal. Buildings, radar towers, and other structures will be easier to distinguish
and recognize. The view of the former Cottonwood AFS, ID, is one that is in this category; when viewed
"upside down," the image instantly becomes more recognizable, especially the former AN/FPS-24
radar tower.
