I was sorting through some old military papers and found this aerial view of King Salmon that I forgot I had. This one can be pretty precisely dated as winter of '83 to spring of '84 as the new 'consolidated' exchange/chowhall/club/theater building (which opened in Feb of '84) is shown, while the old search tower (minus dome) is still extant (this was torn down in spring of '84 while I was there. Note too that the 'new' barracks (from '77) and the 'new' supply warehouse (the larger building closest to the camera) are also there; the appearance of the whole site is quite different from the earlier pictures of the '50s, '60s, and '70s.
