Site Location

Rt 1, Winfield, Cowley County, Kansas. North of Arkansas City and SE of Wichita.

Site History

Site was built in 1956, declared excess to GSA in 1961, and has been in private ownership since 1962.

Findings of Fact

Now used as a welding and manufacturing company, with a 28 X 50 metal building added to the renovated concrete structure. Perimeter is fenced including locked gate, accessed by private road. Radar tower has been removed.
