2-1.2 miles south of Elkhorn, Walworth County, on State Highway 67

Site History and Findings of Fact

Property consisted of 45.83 acres was acquired between 1955 and 1956 and included 31 buildings. Remaining buildings at the time the 1991 report, were dormitories, mess hall, radar towers, water storage tanks, gymnasium, family housing, vehicle garages, and supply, maintenance, and power generation buildings

The Air Force Station was excessed on 20 September 1961 after the mission of the facility was moved to Arlington Heights, IL. Of the original 45.83 acres, 45.04 were sold to the State of Wisconsin in 1962, and used as a Prisoner Re-Release Center for 8 to 10 years. In 1974, the State sold the site to private interests, currently operating it as the Williams Bay Industrial Park. Several buildings have been renovated for industrial use, and the former family housing units are maintained as private residences. A remaining 0.79 acres, located in the southwest corner of the Air Force Station property, was retained by the Air Force for use as the Williams Bay Gap Filler Annex. The Gap Filler Annex was declared excess in 4 January 1968, and sold to private ownership in 5 November 1969, where it was being used as a private residence at the time of the 1991 report
