3-1/2 miles north of Upson, Iron County, and 14 miles of Montreal, WI in Section 32 of Saxon Township
Site History and Findings of Fact
The former Upson gap Filler Annex was constructed by the US Air Force beginning 1958 and operated until 1969 when it was declared excess and conveyed to the private ownership of Iron County in 1971.
At the time of the 1994 report, Iron County used the site as a warming house and to house transmitting equipment for a radio repeater station for the State Medical Service and Department of Forestry.
The original radar tower has been removed.
