Site History and Findings of Fact
The former Rockville Air Force Station, also known as Rockville Training Center, consisted of approximately 75.46 acres obtained by direct purchase and Declaration of Taking in 1956.
It was declared excess to GSA on October 1966 and conveyed to HEW, which transferred it via quitclaim deed in 1967 to the State of Indiana, Department of Corrections, which uses the site for incarceration of female offenders.
There has been extensive site renovation, with the old family housing area still present at the time of the 1998 report.
