712th AC&W Sq., Northeast Cape. The 712th AC&W Sq. is an advance outpost on St. Lawrence Island, also known as "The Rock," in the Bering Sea between Alaska and Siberia.

Northeast Cape AFS represents an area of modern technology on an island where the Eskimo`s traditional crafts and hunting skills are still often the best way to cope with the arctic weather and terrain.

You`ll have a chance to see Eskimo hunters whose crude, but practical skin boats, dogsleds, and highly developed hunting skills are still their primary means of support.

One of the site`s top recreational features is a new gym, with plenty of room for basketball, volleyball, badminton, and other sports. There are also a wide variety of hobby shops. This is also one of the few sites that enjoys a television station.
