Dobbins AFB ADCC, GA Location?

While the Public Affairs personnel at Dobbins Air Reserve Base stated they believe the old manual Air-Defense Control Center (ADCC) building for the 35th Air Division (Defense) was torn down, they also indicated that they were not positive. What we have been told by veterans who were stationed there is that the ADCC building was near the east end of the runways, near the old chapel. In looking at the "Bird`s Eye" aerial photos available on the Microsoft Virtual Earth™ website (http://local.live.com/), we spotted a facility -- attached to a larger building on its west end -- that in many ways resembles the typical manual ADCC building: two-story, windowless, flat-roofed, rectangular cinderblock structure. Shown here are four views of the suspect structure. Was the rectangular part of the large building at its west end originally the manual ADCC building? At this time, we do not know ... but it at least looks possible. If anyone knows for sure one way or another, please let us know. Thank you." -- Your Radomes Crew
