[Ed. Note: The subject radar tower in the article below was to have been constructed to house an AN/FPS-35 search radar (circa 1963). However, the tower was never built, and thus the radar equipment was never installed, reportedly due to a proposed site deactivation which subsequently did occur in 1965.]
